Waterco is a civil engineering design consultancy employing 16 technical staff. Established twelve years ago, the firm specialises in water, drainage, contingency planning and flood risk assessment.

Clients include utilities, developers, architects, local authorities, businesses and individuals.

Waterco has a proven track record in the planning, design, management and supervision of major and minor projects.

We focus on individual project objectives in order to identify and satisfy the specific requirements. This means clearly developing the brief and design guidelines; and then preparing a definitive project plan and delivery programme. Using this approach we have successfully delivered numerous projects through the various stages of initial concept stage to commissioning.

The company maintains an ISO 9001 quality system.

Waterco has a thorough understanding of flooding: from the sources to the consequences. Experience throughout this field, including 1D /2D Hydraulic Modelling, enables us to take a holistic view and recommend appropriate prevention, reduction and mitigation measures for new developments and existing assets. These may include: catchment management, sustainable drainage (SUDS) techniques; attenuation; rainwater harvesting; changes to layout and levels; reinforcement of existing structures and provision of contingency measures and plans.

The company is unique in bringing together the disciplines of hydraulic modelling and contingency planning for flood risk management.

Waterco have completed over 200 Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) in England, Scotland and Wales in accordance with PPS25, SP07 and TAN15 respectively.
